01Take one day at a time

Jesus said: “Be not therefore anxious for the morrow” (Matthew 6:34). Focusing on today’s challenges keeps tomorrow’s worries from overwhelming you.

02Pray specifically

“Casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.”

1 Peter 5:7 · ASV

Telling God exactly what worries you, and thanking him for what is good, can bring calm.

03Look after your health

  • Get enough sleep and exercise.
  • Talk to someone you trust (Proverbs 12:25).
  • Seek professional help when needed — the Bible acknowledges that “they that are sick” need a physician (Matthew 9:12).
