How can I earn more freedom?

01Show you’re responsible

Keep your word, be on time, and do what you say you’ll do. Each kept promise is a deposit in the “trust bank.”

02Be honest

Telling the truth — even when it’s uncomfortable — is the fastest way to earn trust. The Bible encourages us to “speak truth each one with his neighbor” (Ephesians 4:25).

03Talk, don’t argue

Ask calmly what you could do to earn a later curfew or more independence, and then prove it.
