01The shape of the earth
“It is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth.”
Isaiah 40:22 · ASV
02Earth hangs on nothing
“He stretcheth out the north over empty space, And hangeth the earth upon nothing.”
Job 26:7 · ASV
Written over 3,000 years ago, when many believed the earth rested on animals or pillars.
03A beginning
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). The Bible doesn’t state the age of the universe, which leaves room for what scientists observe.
