01What the Bible says

The Bible points to the world around us as evidence of a Creator. A building implies a builder; the order, energy and information in the universe imply an intelligent Source.

“For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.”

Hebrews 3:4 · ASV

It also says that God’s qualities can be “clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made” (Romans 1:20). The more we learn about the precision of physical laws and the complexity of living cells, the more meaningful that statement becomes.

02Faith based on evidence

In the Bible, faith is “assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). A conviction is something you are convinced of for good reasons — not a guess.

  • Design in nature: from DNA’s coded instructions to the fine-tuning of the cosmos.
  • Fulfilled prophecy: detailed predictions written long before the events.
  • Practical wisdom: counsel that still works thousands of years later.

03Can you get to know him?

The Bible says God is not far off and wants to be known. He has a personal name, Jehovah, and invites people to “draw nigh” to him through prayer and study of his Word.
