01God’s Son
The Bible calls Jesus God’s “only begotten Son” — the first of God’s creations, who lived in heaven before coming to earth as a man (Colossians 1:15; John 3:16).
Jesus himself said: “The Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). He always pointed people to his Father, Jehovah.
02Why he died
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Jesus gave his perfect life as a ransom, opening the way to forgiveness of sins and everlasting life.
03What he is doing now
Resurrected to heaven, Jesus now rules as King of God’s Kingdom. Learning about him is part of what Jesus called “life eternal” (John 17:3).
